Hi,
I would like to create a small application to connect to an ARM micro-controller via a virtual com-port.
The MCU connects to the COM port via USB (ie, virtual com port).
The application must scan the available com ports to detect the device.
The device will be sending data every 100ms or so to the com-port (maybe just a couple of bytes contain the devices current settings) ...
The application will read the device and allow us the resend some basic settings to store in mcu.
Basically. the application just needs to be a small window, have some buttons, and dropboxes to adjust the device settings, and then send them to the device (motor controller).
We can also add a small dialog box to display the devices firmware version, run-time, and some other useful information.. The software must catch any exceptions and written to be compatible with windows 32bit and 64bit.
I can modify the data output from my micro-controller to suit your needs if required. The specification can be modified to make things simpler/easier if you have any ideas. I am very flexible.
Have a look at the picture I've attached for a basic description. It doesn't need to be in that exact layout.. The picture is just a guide.
