[url removed, login to view] is a well-known job scheduling and execution component. It supports 6 different types of calendars: Annual, Cron, Daily, Holiday, Monthly, and Weekly.

Each of these calendars uses different configuration settings. For example:

• Daily calendar has a StartTime and an EndTime.

• Weekly, Monthly and Annual calendars have the ability to include/exclude specific days.

• Cron calendar follows standard cron notation to determine excluded timeframes.

The project objective is to create a C# WPF desktop utility application which permits a user to configure the various [url removed, login to view] calendar settings and generate a [url removed, login to view] serialization of these settings.

The application should be organized as individual “tabs” representing the various calendar types, with each tab containing the set of “user-friendly” controls for configuring that type of calendar.

For example, the Daily calendar ‘configurator’ should use either dropdown lists of hours/minutes (24-hour clock) or standard .NET up/down controls.

The Weekly/Monthly/Annual calendar configuration tabs should a standard “date picker” control centered in the screen and with two multiline “list” controls, one named “Included Dates” the other named “Excluded Dates” situated on either side. Beneath the date picker should be left and right arrow buttons permitting the date to be added to either the included or excluded list. (Before adding the date to the requested list, remove it from the other list if it is present.)

Beneath the calendar-specific tabs should be a single panel with a multiline edit control and two buttons: “Serialize” and “Deserialize”. (See attachment for example.)

When the serialize button is pressed, the current configuration settings are used to create the appropriate [url removed, login to view] calendar instance which is then serialized to a Json string and copied to the multiline edit control.

When the deserialize button is pressed, any content in the multiline edit control will be used to create a [url removed, login to view] calendar instance and the settings will be used to update the other controls on the tab.

Other project requirements are as follows:

• Must be a C# WPF application.

• The multiline edit control should offer a popup menu offering the standard editing options like ‘cut’, ‘copy’, ‘paste’, ‘select all’, etc., as well as permit the standard shortcut key functionality, e.g., CTRL-C for copy, CTRL-X for cut, CTRL-V for paste, etc.

• Must use [url removed, login to view] serialization.

• No data persistence is required.

• Exceptions should be caught and displayed using a standard MessageBox. (No stack trace output is required.)
