Audio Channel Volume Xtra / Plug In for Adobe Director

Would like an experienced Director Xtra programmer to write a plug-in (i.e. Xtra) for Adobe/Macromedia Director for Windows. Purpose: Provide custom functions to control Windows' Master Audio Volume with separated Left & Right level controls, Option 1: e.g. if a Lingo script set MyMainVol to 0,0, then left and right channels are muted, if set to 100,0 sets the Left Volume to full while Right channel is silent, etc; the output on the PC sound card remains stereo (e.g. if Left is 100, Right is 0, then only the LEFT speaker will be heard (with the Left channel content). Option 2: same as option 1 but the Left and Right audio are ALWAYS merged before sending to the master stereo sound output, in other word the audio coming from the PC sound card is always Mono regardless of the L/R balance. (PC's L&R speakers always give the same audio content) The functions must be compatible with Windows Vista and Seven (and / or XP or earlier Windows versions) Compatibility: The Xtra must work in Director v8 for Windows and upwards to v11.
