I would like to use the library libtextcat ([url removed, login to view]) in my application. However it currently only compiles under Cygwin and I don't want the overhead and hassle of linking libcygwin.a to my project.

What I need is someone to make the tweaks necessary to get the libtextcat project to build under Microsoft Visual C++ .

What I need as a result is a static library which I can then built into my project using MSVC.
