I am looking for an audio editor. I am looking or hire primarily to edit audio for an audio book I've started but hope to turn this into a long-term working relationship. I am a full-time Voice Over actor and I do audiobook narration as well as e-learning and commercials etc. Up to this point I have been editing my work as well. However, I would like to focus primarily on recording and have a freelancer do some of my editing. What I think I am looking for at this time (please provide a quote based on these services- pfh/pfm/min): -Someone to proof, edit for pace, and remove unwanted breaths or clicks etc. (If audiobook, use ACX requirements for title placement, chapter announcements etc.) -Note any pickups that are needed -Deliver back to me in wav form (or ProTools ptx.) so I can do the final pass, fx, labeling, upload etc Eventually I would love to just hand over the audio and then have it come back ready to go, but for now, I think this is the next step I need to take. (especially because I have completely finished about 3 chapters of the above-mentioned book and I want everything to match) Please provide and additional quote if your rates will change from the services I am looking for now vs. what I want eventually. What I have and how I do it! -I use Pro Tools primarily. -I do not do punch n roll- although I do stop and start so the clip breaks are right where a pickup or punch happens, so its easy to see where an edit needs to happen. Hi Lisa, Jordan here from Headache Studios. I'd love to work with you on the audiobook, or any other projects for that matter. I have a professional recording and mixing set up running both Pro Tools and Logic, with a tonne of outboard gear and industry-grade plugins. About half the work I do here is voice-over work, so I have ample experience doing exactly what you're after. I'm currently working for a guided meditation company, and I'd be happy to send you some sample work if you'd like. I'm happy to do whatever you need, whether it be merely removing noise and spacing, or EQ, compression, mastering and effects. I quoted you $250 as a jumping off point; obviously the cost depends on the size of the project. For shorter E-learning modules etc, the price would be much lower. I also can offer you audio restoration for clicks, smacks and background noise, if necessary . Pro Tools also is my preferred Audio Workstation. So I can use internal Plug Ins like EQ, Comp/De-esser,.. and deliver my edits as a zipped PT Session, if you like. I'm also familiar with ACX requirements for audio books. Furthermore I'm used to work highly concentrated to deliver best results (for editing audio for TV this is essential).
