I have a Polycom 501 phone im wanting to get working on auto-answer with asterisk 1.4 in debian. I will have Polycom 320's soon, and will need them to work with auto-answer, but do not have one now so you will have to make this work with the Polcom 501. Im not sure if the firmware will need to be updated on the phone, or what. Also i would like to do screen session to learn from what you have done, or for you to at least document it for me. I want to be able to hit *ext and be able to talk on the speakerphone of the ext i dialed. (it does not have to be * if that is a problem, it can be anything) Right now my linksys router is the dchp server, if i need to make the asterisk box the dhcp server to allow for pushing more information to the Polycom I can do that.
