I have been learning Adobe Flex 4 and ActionScript 3 and am looking for ways to shorten my learning curve. As such, I need a very small and very simple sample on how to dynamically create a data driven form in Flex 4 or AiR 2. (1) Given a [login to view URL] file with: field label - to be used as a side label for a field field type - for simplicity text input and a calender date picker are the only two to worry about (2) This would be used to define a form that might look like this, or really any form with variable number of text input and calender picker fields - so this is just an example form: (3) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - First Name: ____________ Last Name: ____________ Birth Date: X-built-in calender/date picker goes here (save) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (3) For testing and deliverables purposes, you would create an [login to view URL] and an [login to view URL] (4) Using the above form as an example, the input xml file could contain "Nikola" "Tesla" and 1856/07/10 as data for each of the above three fields. (5) If I change the value of any of the three fields then click on the (save) button the new values are to be saved in the output xml file. NOTE ADDED AFTER ORIGINAL POSTING: The solution must not include any MVC or other frameworks as this would make it too complicated for me. I am not trying to learn the frameworks. I am just trying to learn how the dynamic form creation part is done.
