The task is in two parts:
(a) Analysis:
What are the strengths and weaknesses of your organization in relation to
- Organizational Design and Organisation Development?
- HRM style (personnel management or SHRM)?
- Company culture?

- Motivation and performance systems?
(b) Recommendations:
Formulate an appropriate human resource strategy for this situation and make recommendations for its implementation.
The organization is to be fictitious. Let's say it is a small manufacturing company with 60 employees, of which 40 are workers in the factory, the other 20 are in admin, hr, sales, technical and management. The company is economically struggling, sales are down, the employees are demotivated, some are sick, work efficiency is low. The HRM style is personnel management, not strategic HRM. The company is family owned and its company culture is like family. Average age is 42, 3 trainees are the youngest 18-19 years old, in admin there are younger people (mid 20-mid 30), half of the production workers have been with this company for 20+ years.
a) analyze this setup according to the above task and
b) give recommendations to management: how to make things better in respect to a new HR strategy.
