Existing ASP.net application (using .net framework 4 and SQL Server 2008R2) to utilize Web Services (WCF), JQuery, AJAX, and other architectural inclusions to offer performance improvements for multiuser read-write. Currently, the app only has a couple of aspx pages excluding [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] and does not have web services. The solution should account for 5 concurrent users and 200 users total. No third-party controls have been used. Full demo and realistic data will be provided.

Standard configuration will be used: Web Server in the DMZ and SQL Server behind the firewall
Purpose of this project: To deliver excellent response time (2-4 sec) to users accessing application over the internet (all users will be on decent internet network, such as cable). Each database call results in no more than 1500 rows. No solution should require frequent recycling of app pool or recycling of web server (once every 15 days is okay, but not every 4-5 days). Proper disposal of objects and good object-oriented practices to keep the web server healthy is automatically assumed.
Stored Procedures are fully ready. All database work and support will be provided (freelancer is not required to write any DB work). However, if the freelancer requires anything on the DB side to be developed, he/she must define clearly the work desired. Any data access layer built by the developer should account for real life scenarios of locking issues, multiple users updating the same record, etc. Anything on the .net, web services, etc will be full responsibility of the developer. Anything not explicitly stated (such as DB work) will be full responsibility of the developer.
