Hello, I install EVA foam boat flooring and looking for a partner to handle the modelling/designing side of the business. The process begins with 3D scanning boat decks. Then I trace the flooring in a 3D program snapping each node to the meshes surface. Then use Rhino 8 to project the 3D lines onto a flat surface if the deck is flat. If the deck or panel is curved we will use patch or NURBS plugin to fill the closed line (creating a new curved surface) then go to surface tools -> unroll so the drawing is now flattened to 2D and has the same out line length as the 3D curve.
