I'm looking for a programmer to provide the following: create a simple program that can run through a Google Earth KML file and delete any duplicate placemarks. There is no way to do this in GE other than manual removal. With a file with thousands of duplicates from two similar data sets, this takes a lot of time. I used to work with a mapping program called Microstation 20 years ago, and we had a small program called DELDUP that could delete all duplicate coordinate points in our data files.

It can be a larger object like a ferris wheel or a smaller object like a snack stand.
