Contest Brief

Logo for company named FlowCell needs to be updated.
The current logo is attached.
The logo symbolizes several things:
The hands symbolize "care" and "handling".
"Handling" refers to what is in the drop -- "biological and chemical complexity" -- it is symbolized by a structure which somewhat resembles a chemical compound.
The company's focus is microfluidics, which means control of fluid at microscopic scale. That's why the complexity is shown in a single drop.
The imagery is has excellent symbols listed above, which are desirable. However, the whole thing could be redone and improved.
Specifically, the contents of the drop as shown symbolize only chemical not biological complexity (like DNA double helix).
Also FlowCell text could be creatively added to the logo, similar to the BioAlg logo (second attachment).
All of the above is great, but is completely dedicated to the ends (goals) of the company (taking physical care / manipulation of microscopic biological samples), but also the means. The "how" is microfluidics providing flow (perfusion) of fluids above cells. This is the same process as happens in a healthy body, but this is being reproduced in an artificial microfluidic system to provide better housing for biology. This aspect of the FlowCell (Flow + Cell) pun is illustrated in the 3rd attachment (flow across adherent cell).
Perhaps the hands are holding a single cell and the droplet (with light shading contains all of this).
This graphic is meant to be Simple, but requires creativity.
In addition to the redoing of the Logo on white background, I need a corresponding Logo on a completely dark background, and if it's not too much trouble, I would appreciate this included with the main project.
