Everyone Is right. freelancer comp said its okay to copy an idea as long as you change it a little so that means by that logic the one that was disqualified should of still won even though he stole the entire image he did put freelancer on it , so its different, And dot say the phrase was inspired because its the whole entire phrase with just "lanced" at the end. . Seems like they are contradicting their own policies. And yes what he chose had nothing to do with brief. He should have said "need old cliche to put on a shirt". But I recently joined like a month and a half ago and from what I can see this is the norm here and like the guy said it doesn't make sense to complain the client decides and pays. Don't expect fairness just because a freelancer official is hosting the contest. Its just frustrating that he wasted our time. Let's move on

lol did you steal theses ideas that you're posting here too? Oops I meant "inspired". You're right when you said everyone had an equal chance- that's so true that it even applies to people that didn't follow the brief. You cant really say I'm accusing anyone when there is a-postiori proof. I can see that in your naivety you honestly believed that the "inspired" quote you gave matches the brief. And there's no way for us to ruin the contest - it already was. Despite everything congratulations are in order for pulling that one off.
      Congrats dude

there is nothing geeky or techy about the bland line "the best things in life are freelanced". I agree the "like me on fb, follow me on twitter, hire me on freelancer" is so much better and more geeky. if a paying client makes a wrong decision then it's okay, all we can do is complain it to the freelancer mods. but if the freelancer mods themselves make this mistake then who do we complain? this chosen winner is absolutely rubbish.

You are the one that don't understand... yeah, client pay client decide... FREELANCER is not a client here, he is the OWNER of this site and its RULES must MAINTAINED and FOLLOWED... Freelancer must explain this to us. Thank you.

i think the best idea was "like me on fb, follow me on twitter, hire me on freelancer" it is obvious isn't it that it is on brief and is the best original idea, yet you go and select something non geeky, that plays on a stupid pun, isn't remotely talking anything about computers, nerds, geeks, online, its just a stupid dumb wordplay "the best things in life are freelanced?" tell you what, give away 1000 of these t-shirts for free and i bet fewer than 10 people will ever wear it the 2nd time. Don;t even think about selling this t-shirt, no one will pay for it.

Due to a copyright infringement with design #33 (http://www.babairan.com/mypic.aspx?file=09b5088407.jpg&thumb=2&showbw=0) we needed to revoke the award from @dyv and re-award the contest winner to another design. Please ensure that your designs are original as copyright infringement is a serious offense.

I think #1471 , #1474 , #417 , #1475 is more relevant to our site. It was inspired to your blog - http://blog.freelancer.com/outsourcing-tips/how-to-make-an-iphone-app/, you told that people don't need to have a coding skills ..just the IDEA and the SKILLED freelancers of freelancer is GOOD ENOUGH to start. yeah i object, the selected idea "best things in life are freelanced" is not at all Geeky, which is what your brief, your contest title, your comments etc have exhorted people to think of. so then why give this brief in the first place, you should have simply asked us all to make a t-shirt for freelancer.com, without mentioning the word Geeky, and that to multiple times

Hey guys try to be patient We are all eager to see who will win. Please stop spamming the board with entries that have already been reviewed, Also remember that there is a private board which you can post stuff that only you and the contest holder can see. The contest holder is having difficulty selecting a winner. To make it easier I came up with the idea that maybe we can give the contest holder permission to combine our ideas with another one and split the prize. Like for example combine the quote in #1148 with the brain in #685 . maybe that way the contest holder a way to get what he wants. Im thinking maybe 2 3 star ideas can make a 5 star idea.
