Contest Brief

I’m an astronomer who blogs, posts on social media, and creates videos about playing tabletop games and connecting them to astronomy. I’m going by the name Meeple PhD, and I need a logo and web/social media banner. I have some ideas for the design, but not the skills to pull them off myself.

The logo design should be scalable for my website, social media, business cards, etc. I'd like it to feature a meeple figure with a space-themed background and perhaps with a telescope or satellite or something else to show it is an astronomer. On the other hand, I don't want it too busy, so use best judgement.

The banner design might be used on my website, Facebook, and YouTube. I'm thinking a space image - something like a spiral galaxy, supernova remnant (but the image must be freely useable - NASA and Hubble have loads). But make the image/object into a modern tabletop game (think Catan, Carcassone, Suburbia, etc.) with some other board game paraphernalia such as chits, cubes, crystals, meeples, whatever.

Files should be delivered as layered Photoshop or Illustrator files.
