Contest Brief
Updated description:
Extending through the weekend to give more time for feedback and/or revisions. Please submit your design as soon as you can though.
3/15/2019 Update: Thanks to everyone who has submitted so far! There are a lot of good concepts in the mix. We have league night tonight so I'll be bringing printouts with me to get feedback from everyone. Contest will be open through the weekend though, and we have an internal private message board to continue discussing submissions, so keep the options coming. Thanks!

We need concept design sketches for the front of a new curling building, so that we can complete a fundraising proposal. The building itself is just a metal box 100' x 180' x 20' high and that's what we're trying to dress up. Someone driving by should know what the building is for and the entrance should be obvious and welcoming. The short side (100') will be facing the road and the entrance will likely be on the corner, or near the corner.
The attached hand sketch is the view we'd like, but it doesn't have to look anything like the sketch. Also doesn't need to be detailed at all. If you reduced the Denver picture to an outline sketch, that's the level of detail needed. A freehand pencil drawing is fine. Doesn't need to be computer based or rendered.
Curling is the winter Olympic sport with the granite stones and sweeping. Sample pics attached are Denver Curling Club's building, a rough drawing showing the likely entrance location, and some other random curling buildings.
AtlantaCurlingClub.com The Atlanta Curling Club is in Atlanta, GA and is a 100% volunteer run non-profit.
Thanks!

I have many breath taking elevations and options in mind, can i shape them in 3d image ? similar like samples you attached.

Yeah, you can do a computer 3d image if you'd like, but it might be better just to hand sketch a bunch of different options and submit those. Honestly, the hand drawn example I included is more detailed than we need at this point. I'm not an architect so I don't know the wording, but what we need is the step when you show a client your sketch pad and ask, "do you like any of these rough concepts?" That said, if you start your work at the computer and want to go more detailed, that's fine too.

I can't seem to reply directly to Mechaila L. The sketch is just a random concept. Please come up with something different.

I bumped it up a little, but at this stage we just need half a step above doodles to figure out what design elements we like. Hand sketches are fine. We'll post a larger project for more detailed drawings once we know what direction we're going. We're a 100% volunteer run non-profit.
