Contest Brief

Redesign a website for a new customer based on our style using existing sites. Initially design home page, internal page and mobile view using Photoshop. This must be a bespoke design. Possibility to create site afterwards using WordPress.

Ambition for the new site

A site that is easy to use and makes every journey through it as straightforward as possible in order that users reach the information they need quickly, painlessly and in a way that positively disposes them towards the business.
A site that conveys the human expertise that is the businesses main attribute and that inspires and invites the user to connect with the business by more direct means in addition to the website.
A site that is focused around what its users need and want from it and how they prefer to reach their goal in visiting it, rather than built as a display case of what YHEC offers. It should be built around the question

Here’s what we’ve got, now find and choose which part of it you want

A site that appears to be lean although we are not looking to prune the content. The new site could have the same number of pages as the current site or even more, but each page should feel ‘lighter’ and the richness and depth of content be revealed in layers as you progress deeper into the site.
A site where, as a general principle, the more complex and specialist the information the further into the site it should be, easily accessible to those who need it but not displayed to those who don’t.
A site that does not require in depth knowledge of health economics to navigate it but that equally doesn’t over-simplify its content in a way that is off-putting to those with more expertise and experience in the sector: it must cater for different levels of knowledge and confidence in using it.

      The final deliverable will be PSD: Home Page, Internal and Mobile versions. We will be running a separate project for the build using our own WordPress framework - NO templates.

      They are the ones that they have cited as desired images. I will be going back to my customer with the designs, and they want to see those images and the correct menu structure from the site map.

    The existing website is not really applicable, but you can see it at http://www.yhec.co.uk/ I have enclosed a screen grab. In the documentation of the project. It needs a full redesign.
