Contest Brief

I am looking to have an image made to advertise our mobile slots game 'Interactive Slots' on facebook. The image will be run side by side against our our other artwork in the same campaign in an A/B test to determine which one has the best response. The ad will be an app install campaign and the image size will need to be 1200x628.

We currently already have excellent images done by another artist, however people aren't responding to the ad campaign, so our next step is to try different art.

The style i would like for the image is to be like modern nintendo. I have included 3 sample images of this style. You can easily find more by doing a google search, but i would like it to be in the more modern 3D type style.

I have also include some of the current facebook ad images and also the screenshots we have for our game 'Interactive Slots'. They are the images with our game characters with slot machines and will be in a different art style to the nintendo images i have attached.

The game Interactive Slots is a free slots game on iOS and Android. The Slots are all themed by classic arcade games, where you get to actually play arcade mini games to win free spins.
Therefore the main drawcard that separates our slots game from the thousands of other slots games on the market, is that you actually get to play arcade games as a bonus to win free spins. So i would like that to be featured prominently within the image. You will see how our other artist has symbolised us merging the two genres within the images he has created.
We would like you to do the same, in your own way.

Some of the arcade games are retro 2D and some are more modern 3D games and they all have different styles and artwork. I would like the artist i choose to be able to summarise all of the games into one style of art for the advertisment. (The style chosen for the image mentioned above).
If the image performs well in a facebook ad, then i will likely re-hire the candidate to remake all of our screenshots and our social media cover photos, as well as make additional advertisement images and a new icon.

As per Facebook's policy, the images are to contain no more than 20% text, or they will be penalised in our facebook advertisement. If they fail the facebook test for allowable text, they will need to altered by the candidate free of charge.

How many images are you expecting or you want one Nintendo type image which will have all the game characters and the feature of earning a spin by playing those mini games? The images you have provided are from the running campaign, but if the character images are provided separately, I will have more freedom to adjust them in Nintendo style. Currently, the images you have given are designed and I have a limitation of using them as is, some has features cropped and some are hidden behind other character or text. So I am under the impression that you will be providing the character images separately. If you got any clickbait idea you would want to be implemented, you can let me know.

  Hi Daydreamer, yes thats correct, i would like the one image in 1200x628, thats in the modern nintendo style. It doesn't necessarily have to show all the characters, but it is important that it portrays the win free spins by playing arcade mini games, as thats the main selling point and unique thing about our game vs the other slots games on the market. Feel free to use your judgement about which characters you use in the image. I'll upload another file containing the character/reel artwork that is actually in the game. Hope this helps and please feel free to ask any more questions if you need more clarification. Also i've provided the links to download the game, which is free. Some of the games are locked but here is two promo codes that you can enter into the store, both redeemable for 1,200,000 coins. ( slot661 ) and ( gambler256 ). I was happy to learn the other week--through a client project--that they have discarded the 20% rule; HOWEVER, the more text, the less likely your success with the ad. When you upload, they'll give you a ranking.

  Hey mefontaine, thanks for your reply :) yes they wont fully stop you from posting an ad, however they will tell you that there is too much text and that your ads reach will be severely limited because of this. So basically they'll show it to much less people, which is obviously really bad.
