Contest Brief

I am looking for a design for a black or white t-shirt. The design you create will go onto the front of the t shirt. I have attached a picture of the male and he will be the focal point of the design. I don't really care if the media members following him are included or not in the picture. Maybe I can see a picture of him in colour and the rest of the picture faded. It is crucial that his tracksuit colours and his skin colour remains the same. If possible, I wouldn't mind seeing the picture converted into a cartoon vector similar to the scarface cartoon/animation. However if you do decide to animate the picture into a cartoon or animation it cannot look childish as this shirt will be designed for an adult male from 16-26. Perhaps this is helpful but the person in the picture is notorious as a gangster. I want the design to capture his gangster appeal. I will need vectors and have attached some pictures that could guide what I am looking for but please use your creativity. I have posted 30 days but intend to make a decision much sooner. I may award multiple winners. I don't like too much going on in t shirts, I like simple black and white or shades (minus the tracksuit colour and skin colour)

Upon review of entries #1-4 I note that I prefer entry 3's layout in that the background is still there but its blurred however I would prefer that the background colours be converted to black/white. My issue with entry 3 is that the focal point also looks blurred and is not crisp. Unlike entry #4, where the focal point looks very crisp, I just don't like how he's cut out from the picture. The wording is a nice touch but I am unsure if i want the wording. If I do, it'll have to be much more subtle and smaller on the print. I hope this helps.

  In entry # 5 I worked on two different designs, in the first I kept the background of the image and in the second I only left the main character. I hope and approach what you are looking for.

Upon review of entry #1 I wish to provide additional feedback. The colours on the track suit are spot on. With respect to placement on the shirt, I am looking for the picture to take up the front chest torso of the shirt almost in a rectangle so it is possible to screen print. I would prefer not to have any graphic on the sleeves. Basically the shirt will be 80% black with the graphic on the front chest to waist in a rectangle. Also, if your submission is changing the picture to a cartoon I would prefer the focal point's face and hands to look more masculine and detailed similar to how the scarface attachment looks. Thank you for your hard work.
