Contest Brief

I needed a restaurant logo designed. The name is CHAR CHAR CHICKEN.
Its a grill themed restaurant similar concept to NANDOS. The logo will be used as a restaurant sign.

the aim goal is to get a logo that is fitting for a international brand. A simplistic logo is preferred . something that would stand out, and isn't overpowered by images.

realistic mock ups of the logo on a shopfront will help decide the winner. mock ups can be done after feedback.

I have attached a sketch of the kind of idea i am interested in. Big bold letters. one of the words in a grill effect (diagonal lines running through the font. see attached image.

im not to keen on images of chickens etc. would prefer if focus is on the text design colour and layout. if any images or symbol is used, i would prefer something subtle. so it doesn't take away the focus from the name. example, i would prefer to see one of the CHAR in like a grill (char) effect.

big bold text preferred. maybe subtle image, but image not essential. i do like the idea of having one of the words "CHAR" in like grill lines within the font
