Contest Brief

We are three ordinary board gamers in the UK.
We are SAD, in name at least. Steve. Andy. Dave.

But we thought that would be a (literally) sad name for our new blog/content website and upcoming podcast about board games. So we have set up a new name that reflects we are ordinary, and gamers.

Boardinary Gamers.

We are after a simple looking but engaging logo design we can use online, as part of our social channels and even with some merch opportunities maybe. We will be a tiny part of the content creator world, but we still want something that we can use that looks professional and, well, kinda cool.

- The logo can be colour or mono (it needs to work as mono in anycase)
- Use the name of our collective: Boardinary Gamers.
- Feel free to consider sentence case or capitals and any colours
- We do NOT want any meeples (the name for board game pieces that look like people) please
- Retro board games are cool, but probably not for this logo - as we are more modern
- Happy for any suggestions that include game components (dice, etc) but we do not mind
- Open to whether the logo/lock up references us (Steve, Andy, Dave) or not
- Erm, that is it.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to submit an entry or entries to this.

I have shortlisted down and on the final day, I will share the ones left with my colleagues and we will choose the one we'd like to go with. If you want to still enter, or submit something else - then here are some quick suggestions:

- We seem to have the cube logo/icon covered. So maybe suggest something different!
- Explore if we could have wording with an icon or graphic element included in the letters/words
- Make sure any typography is easy to read and see

One final thing, if there is a logo that is very very close or similar to a previous one (and we like them both) then we are more likely to use the first one. That is probably the fairest thing.

Please note - when we say 'board game' or 'board gamers', we don't mean video game or console game players. So please... no logos with icons or visuals from that type of gaming.
