SCRIPT:

So why create a dragon ball movie?

the first reason is guaranteed money
you shouldn’t start anything unless you have a proven or a good concept
This is an investment opportunity that guarantees you money even if you fail
this was proven in 2009
with the release of dragon ball evolution
which was just one of many film releases by 20th century fox that year
it turns out dragon ball evolution was a disaster
after fans got a hold of leaks photos from the set
fans were furious
and they had a right to be
dragon ball evolution showed no resemblance to the original anime
yet, despite the horrible reviews
the movie still made $30 million dollars worldwide
so we compared dragon ball evolution to another movie Fox released that same year
AVATAR
Avatar made over $1 billion dollars that same year, in 2009
the same year Dragon Ball evolution was released
how coulld a movie with no fans beat a franchise with a worldwide audience
and not only make double, not triple, but 33x the profit
well, it’s very simple
Avatar was a really great movie
and unfortunately Dragon ball Evolution was not
and it seems like 20th century Fox didn’t even care
they hired a director that did not even watch one single episode of the anime
and they did not listen to the original creator of dragon ball
The original creator of dragon ball,
Akira Toriyama revealed that he felt Hollywood producers did not listen him and his ideas or suggestions
and that the final version was “not on par with the original cartoon”
and he felt the result was a movie he couldn’t even call dragon ball
Rotten Tomatoes scored the film at 14%
Anime News network, who was initially annoyed by fans of the franchise, who criticized the film via leaked set shots and trailers before the film’s release, gave the film an over all failing grade,
they later stated the “fans were right”
Slant magazine, considered the film “uninspired and implausible, with an aimlessly hyperactive construction and a complete lack of substance, a cobbled together FX Fakery”

So where did it all go wrong?
20th century fox went wrong everywhere
-they hired a director which did not watch one single episode of Dragon ball Z
-they did not follow the story line at all
-the characters looked nothing like the cartoon
-it had terrible graphics
-missing characters
-no vision, no passion

So what would I do differently?

I would start off by starting small
by delivering jaw-dropping scenes and teasers

and by following a set of guidelines
guidelines are very important
they’ll allow us to stay on track and follow the actual anime script and storyline
but most of all….. we gotta stay on budget

as you can tell from the beginning of this pitch,
it’s not very hard to stay on budget and get a lot done for very little

before I go, I’d like to say, I know this is not your usual e-pitch
my goal is to get licensing right to Dragon ball z
so that I can eventually begin to pitch the movie to investors
there are a couple ways of going about it
and a project like this is going to need a lot of pivoting and changing direction
but this project is guaranteed to make money
even if you create a bad product
I would think that that’s the kind of investment investors would want to invest in
A win-win scenario
I’d like thank you for listening to my epitch
and I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did

I didn't submit to the previous contest due to a lack of clarity. Please review my comments for this one. I don't want to invest the time on speculation when there seems to be a high probability that the submission would not be to your vision or expectations. (As in the opening comment regarding previous contest).

The voice is to fit the music back. Do you want a Dry Read, a mixed and mastered production with the music, or both?

Without proper punctuation in the script it's a crap-shoot as to the end result in emphasis or contiguous thought conveyance. Is there any chance you could punctuate the script?

So all you want is the voice over reading with good tone the script you provided?
